On August 24th, the Latvian Championship in the 10 km road race will take place in Piltene, along with the Ventspils region open championship in the 10 km and 5 km road races and the 5 km Nordic walking distance. Children will also participate, starting their race at 14:00. There will be two starts for adults – the 5 km race at 15:45, and the 10 km race and the 5 km Nordic walkers will start at 15:55. The course will wind through the center of Piltene, and it is expected that around 500–600 participants will be at the start, including the best athletes from Latvia competing for the medals of the Latvian Championship.

Highlights

  • The track is very fast, with a vertical drop of five meters, which allows for achieving good results.
